What is a private investigator allowed to do?
Article 1. § 1. states:

What is a private investigator not allowed to do?
Like any other citizen, we are required to act within the framework of the applicable laws.
Private Detective Act, Article 5 states:

Private Detective Act, Article 7 states:
- A private detective is prohibited from collecting information about the political, religious, philosophical, or trade union beliefs of the persons subject to their professional activities, as well as the expression of those beliefs [or their membership in a mutual insurance organization].
- A private detective is prohibited from collecting information about the sexual orientation of the persons subject to their activities, except in cases where the behavior violates the law or constitutes grounds for divorce, if acting at the request of one of the spouses.
- A private detective is prohibited from collecting information about the health [or racial or ethnic origin] of the persons subject to their activities.

How does our collaboration proceed?
1. Introductory Meeting
Our private detective first listens to your story entirely without obligation. This can be at a location of your choice near you or at a neutral meeting place in full discretion.
Together with you, your lawyer and/or your legal team, we determine exactly how Buytaert & Partners can assist you. After this meeting, you decide yourself whether you want to proceed with us.
2. Detective Investigation
During the detective investigation, we make the necessary observations in a professional and legally correct manner. We gather as much evidence as possible and leave nothing to chance. This way, you get the irrefutable facts laid out clearly and all uncertainties are eliminated.
Every day, we provide you with a interim report and at the end of the assignment a final report. These reports can, of course, be used as legal evidence.
The final report includes the following data:
- A description of the activities performed, including the dates, places, and times those activities were carried out.
- A detailed calculation of the fees and costs.
- The evidential documents collected by the private detective in the context of his assignment.
3. End of Assignment
When the investigation is completed depends on the circumstances. Sometimes the private detective gathers sufficient evidence within 1 day, sometimes multiple days are needed. Immediate success cannot be guaranteed, but we do guarantee a commitment to effort. As a client, you remain closely involved in the investigation at all times.
That's why you choose Buytaert & Partners, experienced private detectives

What does monitoring illegal work & corporate fraud yield?
An anonymous selection of our cases…
A client suspected their partner of infidelity and hired B&P as private detectives. We started a discreet observation investigation and followed the partner during evenings they claimed to be “working late.” It quickly became apparent that they were meeting another man at a secluded hotel, clearly not for work. Armed with our findings, our client confidently initiated the divorce proceedings.
A client suspected their partner of infidelity and hired B&P as a private detective. A representative of our client reported many miles and claimed to work long days. However, the sales figures did not follow. We followed this employee for several weeks and found that during his hours he often went to the gym and even sat at the café. Our client had enough evidence to dismiss the representative for employee fraud.
